Jesus fulfilled everything we needed by submitted himself to the Father’s will. In the same way Peter humbled himself so that the gospel might be preached to the gentiles. For us we must list to God and humble ourselves to live out the gospel in an active and incarnational way.

Hebrews 4:14-16 show us that Christ is able to empathize with us in our struggles because he has been tempted in every way, yet without sin. Brian looks at several different people from scripture and from our current world to see how they had opportunity to submit, but refused to do so and how it cost them everything.

Looking through the eyes of John the Baptist at the passage of John 1, we see how he witness to Christ. It took submission and sacrifice on the part of John to fulfill this role in the Kingdom. This is the same essential action for all of us as well to be fully transformed into the incarnational witness of God.
