As the New Year starts, Brian is sharing a vision of what our church will aspire for in the next year. Looking at Isaiah 43:18ff, we discover that the new thing is something that must be done in us before it can be done through us. Looking through the eyes of John the Baptist at the passage of John 1, we see how he witness to Christ. It took submission and sacrifice on the part of John to fulfill this role in the Kingdom. This is the same essential action for all of us as well to be fully transformed into the incarnational witness of God.
